Try Blind
Hunting for Better Results
Unless you are a true hunting enthusiast, chances are that
you have never heard of blind hunting before. Here are a few
basics that will help you to understand the concept.
Essentially, the concept has to do with using a small
enclosed cabin that is referred to as a blind while you hunt
for deer. Typically, the blind will have small open
windows that are large enough to allow a rifle barrel and the
sight to stick out of the structure. Inside the blind, there is
usually bench seating for the hunter, allowing for some comfort
while waiting for deer to come along.
The blind can be lightweight construction of two by fours
and plywood sheets, or metal sheeting can be used as well. One
thing to keep in mind about constructing the blind is that it
does have to be transported to the woods, and the lighter the
construction, the better.
Usually, the blind for deer hunting will be camouflaged to
blend into the surround flora and fauna, making the presence of
the structure much harder to detect with the naked eye. While a
single blind may measure around four feet by four feet, some
prefer to construct double blinds, creating side by side
compartments that will accommodate two hunters.
One of the advantages of blind hunting is that the hunter is
completely protected from the elements. That makes it easy to
remain dry in the event of a sudden rain. Also, the fact that
the blind will blend into the surroundings means the hunter can
be less careful about movements, as the deer is less likely to
detect motion through the walls of the blind.
Blind hunting is considered a great way to enjoy hunting,
while also being able to remain relatively comfortable in
extreme weather. For more information on blinds and hunting
